I found your thoughts very interesting, as well as those of the commenters. One of them had advised me previously that strong, interesting female characters were the way to go. Now inside the sub's head is the place to be. I suppose those recommendations are not contradictory. It is a direction to consider. (Short, declarative sentences, said Hemingway.) What makes me roll my eyes is the stuff that takes itself so damned seriously - I write smut. I like to think it's quality smut (if you check my little notch of the Internet, you may not agree, but you should see the stuff I don't post - blech.) I think I turned the corner when I realized I should try to write actual stories as opposed to just semi-coherent versions of masturbatory fantasies. I find it helps with my 'real' writing, although I produce about ten times as many femdom pages than anything else. Go figure. Whoaw, what level of intolerance against other people's beliefs. Belief in Female Superiority is in many ways a religious-philosophical expression no different from any other religious hope. Christians hope, while nowadays not discriminating against others, that someday the whole world shall be Christian, so do Muslims for their faith, so do many other groups, Communists, neo-cons, etc, because they see their worldview as better, more natural, for our species. Lately, a new worldview has joined them, men and women who believe in female supremacy. There are places where to express this (blogs on the subject matter) and not (workplace), yet the beliefs are still there. I am no Christian, but do I wax wroth each time a mimister utters somewhere the hope that the pagans shall find Christ soon, and shout "discrimination."? I don't. A bit more tolerance would be nice.
